The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host a Law Day panel at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in the Yellowjacket Union’s Shippar Atrium. The event is free and open to the public.
In recognition of Law Day, the panel discussion will explore the role of law in advancing justice, democracy and civic responsibility. Panelists include Maria Cuzzo, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs; Khalil (Haji) Dokhanchi, professor; Joel Sipress, professor and chair of the Social Inquiry Department; and Brandon Engblom, senior lecturer.
Hosted in alignment with the American Bar Association’s Law Day initiative and the Pre-Law Society, the conversation will bring together legal and community leaders to reflect on how the rule of law shapes rights, responsibilities and everyday life. Panelists will share perspectives on current legal issues, civic engagement and the importance of equal justice for all, followed by an audience question-and-answer session. A meal will be provided.
