Rotary Club of Superior Partners With Second Harvest Northland for Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival

The Rotary Club of Superior is excited to host the 2026 Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival (LSDBF) at Barker’s Island on August 21–22, 2026. All are welcome to this fun, FREE, family
event.

Since 2002, LSDBF has raised more than $1.3 million to support charitable organizations in the Twin Ports.
LSDBF supports the mission of Rotary International: to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.

A portion of the proceeds will support the Rotary Club of Superior scholarships and area projects. Additionally, the Rotary Club of Superior is proud to welcome Second Harvest Northland as the 2026 charitable partner. Second Harvest is the Northland’s largest nonprofit charitable organization ensuring dignified and equitable food access to its network of agency and community partners (food shelves, on-site meal programs, and tribal organizations) and families, children and seniors in need. The community is encouraged to give directly online to Second Harvest Northland.

In the past two decades, this event has been a success thanks to the incredible generosity of community members, businesses, organizations and so many others. Their combined contributions have made a significant difference in the greater Superior region.

Team registration is still available and open to the public. Teams must fill a 20-person dragon boat, but
they will be paired with another team if they can only fill 10 roster spots. Teams interested in racing in
the three-lane, 300-meter course in the bay must sign up online.
