The University of Wisconsin-Superior is now offering a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in graphic design and is enrolling students for Fall 2027 semester. The degree program is offered on campus and emphasizes hands-on projects, real-world experiences and personalized mentorship.
Designed to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry, the program helps students develop their creative voices while exploring how design influences communication, shapes experiences and drives change. Students will work with industry-standard tools, explore emerging technologies, collaborate with community partners and build professional portfolios that showcase their talents to future employers and clients.
“Design is constantly evolving alongside new technologies and changing audience needs,” said Gloria Eslinger, professor and Art and Design Department chair. “Through hands-on projects, emerging tools and close faculty mentorship, students will learn how to create innovative solutions that communicate effectively and inspire action.”
With UW-Superior’s small class sizes and low student-to-faculty ratio, students will receive individualized mentorship and ongoing feedback as they develop professional-quality portfolios and prepare for careers in the creative industries.
