The City of Superior is Declared a Bird City Community

The City of Superior has once again been recognized as a Bird City Wisconsin community.

This recognition celebrates communities working to create healthier environments for both birds and people through habitat conservation, sustainability efforts, education and community engagement. Superior offers some incredible birdwatching opportunities, especially during migration seasons when Wisconsin Point and the St. Louis River Estuary become active with shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors and songbirds.

One of the best ways to celebrate Bird City status? Grab a pair of binoculars and head outdoors. Whether you’re an experienced birder or simply noticing the sounds of spring, birdwatching is a great way to connect with nature and appreciate the unique ecosystems that make Superior special.
