The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center welcomes local author Peggy Trojan to speak on Thursday, March 12, from 6:30-7:30 pm. The talk is part of the Bong museum’s “Voices of Service &
History” monthly speaker program.
On the second Thursday of each month, the museum welcomes expert speakers on a wide variety of military and history related topics.

Program Highlights: When Peggy Trojan was 77 years old, she took a poetry class for seniors.
One assignment was “A day I will never forget”. She wrote about the day when World War II ended, and it
became her first published poem. Now 93 years old, she has continued to write poetry and is the
award-winning author of two full collections and eight chapbooks. She will share her personal memories of
World War II as an eight-to-12-year-old child in Brule, Wisconsin and will read poetry from her first
chapbook, Homefront.
