The fairways of Nemadji Golf Course are calling once again – and on Friday, August 14, 2026, golfers, business leaders and community members alike will answer. The Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Play Day Golf Outing returns for its milestone 75th year, promising a day full of camaraderie, networking and unforgettable fun. All are invited!
A long-standing tradition in the region, the Chamber’s Play Day is specifically designed to bring the business community together. More than just a golf tournament, Play Day is a celebration of community spirit, connection and summertime fun. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer chasing birdies or a beginner simply looking to enjoy the sunshine and scenery, players of all skill levels are welcome for a day built around laughter, relationships and good times on the course.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Nemadji Golf Course, participants will once again enjoy one of the Twin Ports’ premier golf experiences. With 36 beautiful holes, Nemadji provides the perfect setting for a memorable day of golf and networking – lunch and dinner are included.
As teams tee off in a shotgun start at 12:30 pm, the crisp summer air and friendly competition set the tone for an exciting day ahead. Along the course, golfers will encounter games, contests and prize opportunities at sponsored holes – each adding another layer of energy and fun to the outing.
One of the defining features of Chamber Play Day is its unique blend of leisure and networking. The event draws professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders and members of civic organizations from across Superior, Douglas County and the greater Twin Ports region. It’s an ideal opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, spark new partnerships and celebrate the power of community in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
“There’s a special energy at Play Day that you really can’t replicate anywhere else,” says Taylor Pedersen, President and CEO of the Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s one of those events where relationships are strengthened naturally – whether it’s longtime business partners reconnecting, new members meeting for the first time or community leaders simply enjoying a great day together. The networking is genuine, the atmosphere is relaxed and by the end of the day there’s always a stronger sense of connection across our business community.”
The Chamber is also excited to welcome back Miller Lite / Bernick’s as the event’s Title Sponsor for 2026. Their continued partnership and support help make this signature community event possible year after year.
From local businesses hosting interactive holes to Chamber ambassadors and volunteers keeping the energy high throughout the day, every aspect of Play Day reflects the generosity, engagement and enthusiasm that make our business community special.
While golf is at the center of the event, the experience extends well beyond the fairways. Participants will enjoy a delicious lunch, lively conversations at the clubhouse, dinner following play and a brief awards ceremony celebrating both competition and community spirit.
As one of the Chamber’s premier Signature Events, Play Day continues to be one of the most anticipated gatherings of the summer season. Early registration is encouraged, and early bird pricing will once again be available. The outing is open to Chamber members and non-members alike, with registration options available for both individuals and teams.
Whether you come for the golf, the networking or simply the chance to spend a summer day with friends and colleagues, the Chamber’s 75th Annual Play Day Golf Outing is sure to be a highlight of the season.
