The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host the third annual LiveWell 5K Walk/Run/Roll & Celebration on Thursday, Aug. 13, at Barker’s Island Festival Park in Superior.
The free, family-friendly community event is open to all. Registration is required and closes Aug. 6. To register or learn more, visit uwsuper.edu/LiveWell5K.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m., with the 5K walk/run/roll starting at 6 p.m. The fun-run-style event will not be chip timed. Helmets are encouraged for all participants using wheeled devices.
Following the race, a community celebration will begin at 6:45 p.m. Activities will include a food station catered by Chartwells, featuring hot dogs, hamburgers and other refreshments. Attendees can enjoy a seating area for dining and socializing, music provided by a DJ, and a variety of outdoor games, including cornhole, badminton, Kubb and bocce.
Conversation domes will also be available as welcoming spaces for attendees to relax and connect with others. The event will conclude at 8 p.m.
