Rooted in Service

Catholic Charities Bureau’s Impact in 2025

At Catholic Charities Bureau Diocese of Superior, our mission has always been grounded in a simple but powerful belief: when we are rooted in service, we help communities flourish.

In 2025, that commitment continued to shape every program, partnership and personal interaction. Guided by faith and strengthened by compassion, Catholic Charities Bureau worked alongside neighbors, volunteers and community partners to meet urgent needs while restoring dignity and hope across our region.

This past year, Catholic Charities Bureau served more than 1,200 individuals and families, each with a unique story, challenge and aspiration. Whether providing food, housing, advocacy or supportive services, our staff met people where they were, offering not just assistance, but genuine care. These moments of connection are the heart of our work and the foundation of a stronger, more resilient community.

Food insecurity remained a critical concern in 2025, and Catholic Charities Bureau responded with urgency and compassion.  Through our programs, we provided over 80,000 meals.  For many, these meals represented more than nourishment; they offered stability during uncertain times and reassurance that they were not alone.

Our impact grew even further through a valued partnership with Second Harvest Northland. Together, we helped provide more than 356,000 meals to people in need throughout the year. This collaboration strengthened our collective ability to reach remote communities, expand distribution, and ensure that nutritious food reached those who needed it most. It is a powerful reminder that when organizations work together with a shared purpose, the results are transformative.

Housing continues to be a cornerstone of Catholic Charities Bureau’s mission, reflecting our belief that safe, stable housing is essential to human dignity. In 2025, we offered more than 650 units of housing to low-income seniors, people with disabilities and individuals living with chronic mental illness. These homes provided more than shelter, they offered security, independence and a sense of belonging.

Supportive services paired with housing helped residents maintain stability, improve health outcomes and build meaningful connections within their communities.

For seniors, having a safe place to age with dignity eased the burdens of isolation and financial strain. For individuals with disabilities and chronic mental illness, stable housing created pathways toward independence and improved quality of life. Each unit represented a tangible expression of our commitment to long-term solutions rooted in compassion and respect.

Behind every statistic is a network of dedicated staff, volunteers, donors and community partners who make this work possible. Their generosity and commitment ensure that Catholic Charities Bureau remains deeply rooted in service and responsive to emerging needs while staying true to our mission, to improve the human condition.

As we reflect on 2025, we do so with gratitude and renewed resolve. The challenges facing our communities remain complex, but our roots are strong. Catholic Charities Bureau will continue to grow, adapt and serve — guided by faith, strengthened by partnerships and inspired by the people we are privileged to walk alongside each day.

Rooted in service, we look ahead with hope and joy, ready to continue building a more compassionate and just community for all.
