Let the Goin’ Postal Experts Do Your Mailing

It’s a predicament that we have all unwittingly created for ourselves. We know that we need to purchase a present for someone who lives out of town. Understanding that, we are pleased with ourselves that we got out early and made our purchase.

Then comes the moment of truth:  We have the present, and now we need to pack it up and prepare it for sending. We try to remember the rules for shipping something, but come up short. We might find that a trip to the post office meant that we improperly wrapped it and need to do it over before it can be sent.

All those headaches can be taken care of with just a little more planning. We can bring our purchase to Goin’ Postal in the Superior Business Improvement district, and let those who know take over, getting our item shipped properly and safely.

Located at 816 Tower Avenue, Goin’ Postal has been serving customers for 20 years. Andrew Perfetti, store owner and SBID board member, shared how he began the business.

He had graduated college and was on the waiting list for law school when an opportunity presented itself. A friend of his bought the building and wanted to open a business in it. Perfetti would begin the store with the agreement to buy it from his friend when business was solid.

That might have been the end of his law school dream, but it was the beginning of establishing a necessary business while, at the same time, promoting the arts and the North End.

Goin’ Postal is a full-service store. It offers packing and shipping for UPS, FEDEX and USPS. When you have an important paper that you need to fax, that is another essential service the store offers. It also offers scanning and mail box rental. And, Goin’ Postal is a U-Haul Dealer and a Happy Returns Center.

Yet, Goin’ Postal offers more than packing and shipping. It is an important hub for the arts community in Superior and the surrounding area. Prior to COVID, the store offered periodic art shows where artists could display their works for patrons to peruse and, hopefully, purchase. Unfortunately, COVID interrupted the program, and it was set aside. Perfetti hopes to return it to life.

One event that Goin’ Postal originated is the Goin’ Postal Fall Music Festival and Poltergeist Pub Crawl. Each year Perfetti works with the Pub Crawl committee and his friends at the Bluebird Foundation to put on the event; 2026 marks its 10th anniversary.

The music festival and pub crawl not only bring people into SBID, they highlight the North End as well as offering support for grants and scholarships to students pursuing the arts in the Twin Ports and surrounding areas. Through the years, Goin’ Postal and the Bluebird Foundation have raised more than $40,000.00 to support area students.

Attendees will enjoy live music at two local venues, costume contests and prizes. The pub crawl visits 10 of the finest taverns and restaurants in the area. It is a Halloween night of live music and community in the North End. Members from our local community are asked to consider sponsorship and prizes. One hundred percent of the donations collected for the event funds the festivities. All profits go to The Bluebird Foundation.

So, put Oct. 31, 2026 – Halloween night – on your calendar! It’s the perfect time to put on a costume and have some fun while supporting Superior businesses and opportunities for young artists.  You can find further information by contacting Goin’ Postal at 715-392-7447.

Goin’ Postal has carved a unique niche in the Superior business community. It not only provides quality and efficient packing and shipping service, it sees the importance of making a connection beyond the walls of the building, reaching out to make a difference for our youth while, at the same time, providing fun and exciting events for all of us.

So, forget the frustration of wondering how to send a package and turn to the experts who know how to do it right: Goin’ Postal!
