Join Us at The Chamber’s 72nd Annual Meeting and Business Awards

The energy is building, the excitement is growing and one of the most anticipated events of the year is just around the corner. The Chamber Annual Meeting and Business Awards is returning to UW-Superior and you’re invited to be part of the largest business gathering in northwestern Wisconsin.

Each year, this event brings together an incredible cross-section of our community: entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, elected officials, educators, nonprofit partners and residents who all share one thing in common – a deep pride in Superior and Douglas County.

It’s more than just a meeting; it’s a celebration of who we are, what we’ve accomplished, and where we’re headed together.

From the moment you walk in, you can feel it. The room is filled with energy, connection and possibility. Conversations spark between new faces and familiar friends through networking opportunities. Ideas are exchanged. Partnerships are formed. And throughout it all, there’s a shared sense that something special is happening here – because it is.

The Chamber Annual Meeting and Business Awards is our opportunity to reflect on the past year while looking ahead with optimism and purpose. It’s a time to recognize the resilience, innovation and dedication that define our local business community.

Whether it’s a small startup finding its footing, a long-standing business continuing to evolve, or a community organization making a meaningful impact, this event shines a spotlight on the people and organizations that help our region thrive.

At the heart of the evening is our keynote speaker Patrick Kelly, Fraser Industries CEO, as well as the Business Awards celebration, where we honor outstanding achievements across a variety of categories. These awards tell the story of our community – stories of hard work, creativity, leadership and service. They remind us that success here isn’t just measured in numbers, but in the positive impact businesses have on their employees, customers, and neighbors.

And that’s where you come in.

We invite you not only to attend, but to help us recognize excellence by submitting nominations. Do you know a business that’s gone above and beyond? An entrepreneur who’s making waves? A leader who inspires others?

This is your chance to make sure their efforts are seen and celebrated. Nominations are a powerful way to lift up the people and organizations that make Superior and Douglas County such a vibrant place to live and work.

Of course, the event is about more than awards. It’s about connection. In today’s fast-paced world, opportunities to come together in person are more valuable than ever. The Annual Meeting offers a chance to step away from the day-to-day and engage with others who are equally passionate about our community’s future. Whether you’re looking to expand your network, support the event as a sponsor, learn more about local initiatives or simply enjoy a great evening surrounded by positive energy, you’ll find it here.

And the best part? This event is truly for everyone.

You don’t need to be a Chamber member to attend. If you care about our community, if you’re interested in the success of local businesses or if you simply want to be part of something uplifting and inspiring – you belong here.

That inclusive spirit is what makes this gathering so special. It reflects the very essence of Superior and Douglas County: welcoming, collaborative and forward-thinking. When we come together, we strengthen not only our businesses, but our entire community.

So mark your calendar for the evening of April 23rd, bring a colleague or a friend, and get ready to experience an evening filled with celebration, inspiration and connection. Register to attend and secure your spot at this can’t-miss event. RSVPs are required.

And while you’re at it, take a moment to submit a nomination and help us honor the incredible work happening all around us and tell the stories of our community.

The Chamber Annual Meeting and Business Awards isn’t just an event – it’s a reflection of our shared success and a reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together.

We can’t wait to see you there and celebrate with you.

Taylor Pedersen is President/CEO of the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.
