One of my favorite parts of putting together each issue of Positively Superior is stepping back once it’s complete and seeing the incredible variety of stories that fill its pages. No two issues are ever the same, because no two months in Superior are ever the same.
This edition is a perfect example.
Within these pages, you’ll celebrate 110 years of Lakehead Constructors while also looking ahead at the company’s future. You’ll revisit the SS Meteor, one of Superior’s most treasured historic landmarks, and see how history continues to shape our community. You’ll read about the creative transformation of a former elementary school into new living spaces, proving that old buildings can find new purpose. You’ll discover how the team behind Gotta Be Superior is finding imaginative ways to tell the city’s story and attract new residents and visitors. We also take a look back at Superior’s historic race track, highlight A-1 Movers’ continued growth through expanded facilities and new leadership, and explore how Northwood Technical College is investing in its Superior campus to create a more engaging experience for students.
Those stories alone paint a picture of a community that values its history while continuing to invest in its future.
