Corey Karren Named Director of Buildings & Grounds

School District of Superior Welcomes New Leader of the Department

The School District of Superior is proud to welcome Corey Karren as the new Director of
Buildings and Grounds. Mr. Karren will formally start this position on March 30, 2026.

The District wants to thank Jamie Wilson for stepping in as interim director while also continuing his role as
Director of Food Service. Wilson will now solely focus on his main role with the District.

Karren joins Superior with several years of experience. Before becoming a Spartan, Karren served as the
Building Systems Coordinator at Duluth School District. In 2022, Karren was promoted to Supervisor of
Operations, where he oversaw a team of 64 staff members and managed operational needs of 17 buildings.
Before working with the Duluth School District, Karren worked in the IT field, serving in roles such as
Systems Tech, Network Tech, and Tech Supervisor.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the community that has educated both my children and
myself.” said Karren. “I look forward to collaborating with the district staff on upcoming building projects and
helping to create a safe, clean learning environment for our students and staff.”
